Our First Community Solar Project Under The New SMART Program To Go Live Very Soon!

A 7.0 MW community solar farm, with battery storage (also a first for us!), located in Blandford MA is slated to go live this summer. This facility serves our customers in Western MA, and will produce enough electricity to power ~350 homes annually.
After that, we have 10 more projects coming online under SMART that will serve our customers residing in National Grid’s service territory. These include community solar farms in Halifax, Tewksbury, Westminster, Northbridge and more.
UPDATE: Our Blandford site went live on 6/22/2020 and is expected to deliver Alternative On Bill Credits to our customers as early as August 2020! Our partnership with Stem has made this the first of several solar+storage collaborations with them.
